Acting Proverbs

Equipment:

Players: any number

Equipment: none

The players are divided into teams of 3 or 4 people. One team is sent out out of the room to think of a well-known proverb. The team then return and act out the proverb in 1 scene.

The team which guess the proverb takes a turn to leave the room and think of another proverb.

If no one guess the proverb then the team has a second go.

Some proverbs you might try are:

  • Actions speak louder than words.
  • Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
  • Learn to walk before you can run.
  • People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
  • Strike while the iron is hot
  • You can’t have your cake and eat it.
